JAMES ELROD
Freedom is a right that we are born with in our nation. But it's never been free and that's why I have the beauty of freedom leaning on the axe of war or sacrifice.

“CONCEPTUAL FREEDOM”
What is freedom….if not the love and beauty of a woman?
So proud and tall she stands…..serene yet mighty
Her chin set high as the Mother of just and right
No other love nor lust could hold man so captive
In his eons of strife and struggle to possess her
Her bright smile and golden glinted gaze
Are a mans cool spring and late summer breeze
She is no small thing….yet almost indefinable in her fragility
A snowflake on a warm window
Her price is the razors edge of compromise
Diplomacy and brutality….pain and serenity
As the mother who survives the pain of birth
For the love of a son
Eternal in concept, eternal in spirit
Born and reborn she gives her life’s blood
For over and over rolls this eternal recurrence
Her chains are forever broken and discarded
The price is high and her value even higher
Oh how I wish to be forever rid
Of this old black ball and chain that holds me
Free once again to be in her warm embrace
For what is freedom….if not the love and beauty of a woman?
