Thank you for all your support!

We are sending the Celtic Reign Artist an update which, includes things like the post from the Guest Book, our current rating on all of the top sites and a few other things to help raise their spirits.

Here is an excerpt from an email that I received.  I would really like to see more like this.

Howard-

”Wanted to thank you for listing our POW's on your site.  I wrote to Richard;
sending one of his own cards-I thought he'd like that.  I noticed that
his birthday is this Friday.  He probably won’t get it before his b'day
but I sent a money order and best wishes anyway.  I also sent a card
and a MO to John W. King who happens to be a personal hero of mine.
These men and the others on your list wouldn't know that they're appreciated
and not forgotten without people like you.  You're a good man, Howard.
Keep going.

I want to keep the card program going.  What do you need?”

I know that not all of you can afford a financial contribution, but please take a minute to write a letter, send a card.  (We even offer to send you a FREE card if you will write to someone).  Write something nice in the Guest Book and please come over and vote on all of the voting sites at the bottom of our home page (TODAY).  The five minutes it will take you to do this will put a smile on all their faces for a whole month; this is roughly the time it takes to smoke a cigarette. If you do not think they are worth it, then please feel free to unsubscribe and you can go back to watching Oprah and we will not bother you anymore.

Greetings all,

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back with you all about my visit with the artists. I am sad to say I was only able to visit with one of the artists.  Our plan was to meet up with the families of the other artists but that did not work out so I went alone. 

I must tell you it was great and his hopes and spirit was very high.  I had sent in the comments from the message board to let everyone know that you all are out there admiring their work and intestinal fortitude.

You just can’t imagine what it means to them to know that they are not alone in the struggles. You know from other writings that all of the artists are in a Super-Max facility and only a couple will ever see the light of day again. Picture this, you walk up to a little cubbyhole visiting area and the person behind the glass looks up and sees you standing there.  You are the first person other than an occasional guard taking him to the medical building that he has seen in a year. I guess I don’t have to tell you his face lights up like the best Fourth of July you have ever seen.  It is all you can do to keep from crying I know this to be true because it is about all I can do just writing about the feeling you get. 

Your visit goes very quickly and there is never enough time to say all the things you have been thinking about for a year. Most of the news was about how pleased the guys are about getting their art out on the net for everyone to enjoy and then of course hearing about it.  At that time they had not received any card or letters of appreciation for their efforts. That would always bring a smile to their faces when the mail person stops at their cell and says something like this one’s for you.  Mail call is always the highlight of every prisoner’s day if they get mail and the lowlight of their day if they don’t.  It is only through people like you that smiles can be placed on the faces of these proud men. 

Please take a little time out of your everyday life to put a smile on some lonely faces. 

For those of you who have already taken the time to do the White thing, we thank you immensely and for those of you who have not yet, we forgive you but do try to do something in the near future.  The happiness that you give to them will come back to you ten fold.
